About

The story of the chalet

This chalet holds great sentimental value for me. My mother bought it in 2005, and we spent family time here, with our horses.

My mother passed away in 2018. My partner and I then decided to renovate the chalet completely, to pay tribute to her and to show off this incredible place.

The work was considerable. The chalet wasn't connected to the electricity grid: the lights and the fridge ran on gas, and there was no hot water. Single-glazed windows, water seeping in, a floor so rotten you could fall through it… Everything was redone from A to Z, with Gaetan and Gaetan's parents.

We finished the work during my pregnancy, and my daughter took her first steps here. It is a family place that means a great deal to me, and one I will never part with.

The renovation

We did all the work ourselves, with the help of my parents-in-law. We learned a great deal from the experience, and we are proud to welcome you!
